Valentine’s Day is almost here, which means that for the loved-up couples amongst us, there isn’t long remaining for you to plan a romantic evening or weekend away. Whether you’re wanting ideas for the Friday, or you’re planning to get away for a whole weekend, here are some potential locations if you’re looking to wow your partner.

Dinner

Harvey Nichols Fourth Floor Café

Harvey Nichols exudes an air of exclusivity and the Leeds store, which was the first outside of London when it opened in 1996 provides an atmosphere of class and style. This feel carries through to the in-store restaurant. Located on the fourth floor of the store, the cafe offers a truly special dining experience. At £80 per couple, the Valentine’s meal at the Fourth Floor Cafe is reasonably priced when compared to other city centre locations, and the menu boasts impressive dishes such as smoked duck breast and crab risotto. Dinner is served between 5:30pm and 10:00pm and your evening is kicked off with champagne on arrival.

Bibis

One of Leeds’ most iconic restaurants, Bibis Italianissimo is the place many head on a special occasion. With its stylish interior, you can enjoy a Valentine’s meal in style and comfort on either Friday 14th or Saturday 15th. If you’re in Leeds for the weekend and want to begin your celebrations early, Bibis  is offering a lunchtime menu for your special occasion, and The New Vintage Band will be performing throughout the weekend, providing a great atmosphere as you enjoy a delicious two course meal, complete with a glass of Prosecco. With a full menu on offer, and the evening being  specially themed for Valentine’s day, you won’t struggle for choice. With great food, plenty of drinks and a live jazz band, Bibis is a great spot to head if you’re wanting impress your partner.

If Harvey Nichols’ mention above takes your fancy, but you’re after something a little more entertaining than a meal, head to the Espresso Bar, which is offering couples the chance to enjoy a Valentine’s Film Night, and allowing you to indulge in a three course meal along with champagne. The evening begins at 7:30pm and costs £60 per couple.

Everyman

A romantic and high quality cinema evening, Everyman is offering a Valentines package including a film, champagne and chocolates on the 14th. The popular independent cinema is giving you the chance to enjoy a choice of romantic films from the comfort of its trademark comfy sofa seats. With Breakfast At Tiffany’s, Romeo + Juliet and The Bodyguard all showing, you’ve got a choice of screenings for the big night, so make your evening one to remember at Everyman, with tickets costing £55 per couple.

Whether you’re wanting ideas for the Friday, or you’re planning to show your love for a whole weekend, here are some ideas with how to wow your partner.

The staple of many Valentine’s Evenings is the romantic meal as a couple, eating over candle light in an ambiant, pricey restaurant. Here are our suggestions if you want a special meal on the 14th.

Rosso
Rosso is a high-end city centre restaurant which aims to provide top quality Italian cuisine in an ambient atmosphere. On most evenings, you’ll not only be able to enjoy high quality food, but you’ll also be able to enjoy it in the presence of a superb band and guest singers. If you’re looking for a trendy and quality dining experience this Valentine’s Day, Rosso is offering couples the opportunity to enjoy a £60 per person meal, with sittings at either 5pm, 7pm or 9.30pm.

Ocean Treasure
One of Manchester’s best Chinese offerings, Ocean Treasure is really pushing the boat out this Valentine’s Day offering multiple options for loved up diners. If you’re wanting the ‘no expense spared’ evening, then private dining packages are available for couples from £140, with lesser priced options coming in at £90 for the five course Valentine’s banquet or £70 for four courses.  With modern décor and a location in the trendy Manchester 235, Ocean Treasure brings a little bit of the Far East to central Manchester.
