It’s Wednesday and we’re thinking about the weekend again… yes we’re indulging ourselves with tales of our favourite things found in our luxurious rooms and of all the reasons we can find to stay in one of them!
We didn’t have to hunt for long as both Manchester and Leeds have many exciting events to attend over the next few months, here are a couple of our suggestions to make your stay in Roomzzz even more enjoyable:-
Manchester International Festival is being held from the 30th June until the 17th July and promises a full range of exciting activities, it is the world’s first international festival and hosts a programme of original new work and special events
The first shows for the 2011 Festival are announced and on sale now:
The Life and Death of Marina Abramović – a startling new piece for the stage: a biography of the godmother of performance art re-imagined by visionary director Robert Wilson, featuring music written and performed by Antony. Starring Marina Abramović and Willem Dafoe.
Victoria Wood’s That Day We Sang – one of Britain’s best-loved writers and performers creates a new play – the story of the Manchester Children’s Choir.
Wagner die Walküre + The Madness Of An Extraordinary Plan –
Sir Mark Elder and the Hallé in a concert performance of Wagner’s Die Walküre plus a specially commissioned dramatic prologue written by Gerard McBurney and directed by Neil Bartlett.
Leeds is not to be left out of the festivities either and we find it’s all in the planning! Leeds Festival is being held in Bramham Park again this year on 27th-29th August, now this may seem like a life time away but think how you’d feel if you missed out on one of our fabulous rooms and had to stay in a tent!
