Check out these lovely reviews we’ve had in the last week! All these people stayed in Manchester Roomzzz…

5 of 5 stars“Will be back for sure”

p1trick – Ireland

Stayed at Roomzzz recently for my husbands birthday and was extremely impressed.

Booked the grande studio which was spotlessly clean and had everything you would need for a weekend away. All the staff at reception were extremely helpfull especially Paris who worked the night shift .We will definitely be back.Only small negative is that the walls of our room(309) seemed a little thin as you could hear the guests in the room next door speaking to each other but it didn’t keep us awake at night. I have already recommended it to all my family.

5 of 5 stars“Ultra modern hotel at affordable prices”

Manxie 26 – Isle of Man

Our room was gorgeous, was like staying in a rented ultra modern apartment. The shower we had in our room could probably have fitted 5 people in it! We had the croissants from the grab and go breakfast which were handy to take whilst walking to the tourist sights. Only 5-10 minute walk to the shops/bars/restaurants. Would stay again!

5 of 5 stars“Spacious room!!”

As I booked the whole journey with lovely B&Bs, to be honest I really was not certain when came to a… hotel.

Well, I worried too much : )

You cannot imagine how big the room & bathroom is! Oh of course cannot forget the lovely MAC in the room, nice.

Only the breakfast is not so competitive, but no biggy, there are plenty of cafes nearby.

FREE things in Manchester….

Posted on: No Comments
Earlier in the year we published a blog about the great FREE things you can do in Manchester…. as we’re nearing the end of the school holidays we thought you might appreciate this list again! Just think…. if you won Friday Favourites you could come to Manchester and do all these things without spending a penny! OR would give you more to spend in the shops!
  1. John Rylands Library – A gothic sandstone building on Deansgate recently juxtaposed with a clever modern visitor centre. This fabulous legacy of Cottonopolis was commissioned by Cuban-born Enriqueta Rylands in memory of her philanthropist textile manufacturer husband. There’s more about Manchester’s first multi-millionaire and some fascinating changing exhibitions in the cathedral-like public reading rooms.
  1. Royal Northern College of Music – The only UK conservatoire to be a centre for excellence in teaching and learning, but you can still hear the talented students play for free! Orchestral performances take place in the late-60s concert hall, while the RNCM’s best-kept secret is their Wednesday-lunchtime recitals by soloists and smaller ensembles in the calming and charming setting of St Ann’s Church.
  2. Heaton Park – Manchester’s biggest green space, with lovely views both back over town and out to the Pennines. There’s plenty to do whatever your age: a well-equipped children’s playground; rowing boats, woodland walks and cycle paths; even a grand 18th-century mansion and farm. It’s also home to beekeepers, astronomers, trolley-bus enthusiasts and the Commonwealth Bowling Club.

  3. City Airport – Formerly known as Barton Aerodrome, this was the UK’s first purpose-built municipal airport and it’s still in action today. Sit in the beer garden and watch small planes bump excitedly along the grassy runway as they take off and land, and climb up the Art Deco control tower that dates from 1933.
  1. Whitworth Art Gallery – There’s always something worth seeing at this gallery, part of Manchester University; not least the soon-to-be developed building and its parkside location. Recent highlights have been the Subversive Spaces surrealism show, the American Scene prints exhibition and Walls Are Talking, and the varied event programme includes related talks held in the “secret” lecture theatre.

If you’ve not taken part in Friday Favourites…. you just need to ‘like’ our facebook pages for Leeds and Manchester – tell us what you like about Roomzzz, we’ll be making our winning choice tomorrow…. so get your bags packed and ready as it could be you!

Just a blooming brilliant place to stay. Huge apartment room, beautifully decorated, modern 4-poster bed, double walk-in shower, telly, computer, sofa, wi-fi, kitchen and breakfast all for well under £100 a night. Even each bedroom door on the landing was a work of art. Not only one of the best-looking rooms I have ever stayed in, but ridiculously good value for money too. Also just round the corner from the Manchester Art Gallery, which was a great (free!) place to kill an hour before we had to return to the train station. I can’t imagine why you wouldn’t want to choose this hotel if you needed to stay in central Manchester. Lovely.

Now if you’re taking advantage of our summer double discount offer and heading to Leeds then you’ll want to know where to go… what to see… what’s on… Not only do you have a fantastic city to explore but you can also head out into the wider countryside!

One of our most favourite places EVER is Yorkshire Sculpture Park, located just off junction 38 of the M1. 500 acres of parkland which provide an amazing backdrop to the sculptures which are exhibited here, there’s an indoor centre with 5 galleries, cafe and shop too but the best thing about this place is the outdoor space, specially designed to display the exhibits by some of the leading artists of the 20th century.

The park houses permanent sculptures and also hosts a range of exhibitions throughout the year, this summer you need to see the gigantic wire heads by Jaume Plensa, truly spectacular!

SteveLeic from Rugby stayed with us in July…

This hotel is ideally placed, close to the railway station, the city shops and restraunts in the newly developed canal basin. It’s also easily accessible from the M1 motorway without having to cross the city. Check in was effortless and the staff were extremely helpful. I asked for a quiet room and was allocated a top floor room – which was quiet! It was extremely hot on the day I visited (30c) but the aircon worked well and was almost silent. The room was very well equipped with a dishwasher, washer drier, microwave grill, hob and fridge. I didn’t need them but would definately use this hotel for a longer stay. Breakfast is also provided in reception – just grab items and a cappucino – perfect! There is subsidised parking at an adjacent NCP too. I can’t realy fault this hotel and the value for money makes it a ‘must’ for a stay in Leeds.

I am getting giddy for my stay tomorrow I love Roomzzz it’s so much nicer than hotels, ideal location to shops, china town, theatres, city centre and staggering distance back after a few drinks, the apple mac to plan your day/night and check facebook a superb little extra, nothing more for me to say other than I love Roomzzz and the homely feel

Matteo Noris
I am an Italian student in Manchester. I stayed at Manchester Roomzzz for two nights when my dad came to visit me. I discovered it walking around Manchester and after a fast look on the internet it seemed an incredible place where to stay. It is situated in the vibrating centre of the city which can offer you all kind of entertainment : from the Chinese quarter, to deansgate locks ecc. The Aparthotel itself is stunning, all details are perfect and you can’t actually find something you don’t like in there. Even told they are modern, they give you a warm welcome even when the weather in Manchester is “Wet”. I Will surely go back to The Manchester Roomzzz Aparthotel!!
