Great views of Newcastle – #2

The Tyne Bridge is over the River Tyne in Newcastle, linking the city to Gateshead.  At the time of its construction it was the world’s longest single span bridge. The bridge was officially opened on 10 October 1928 by King George V and has since become a defining symbol of Tyneside. It currently stands as the tenth tallest structure in the city.

Stay with us… staycation!

So what is a staycation?
Wikipedia tells us:
“A staycation (also spelled stay-cation, stacation, or staykation) is a neologism for a period in which an individual or family stays and relaxes at home, possibly taking day trips to area attractions.
Common activities of a staycation include use of the backyard pool, visits to local parks and museums, and attendance at local festivals. Some staycationers also like to follow a set of rules, such as setting a start and end date, planning ahead, and avoiding routine, with the goal of creating the feel of a traditional vacation.”
As a home from home this is why Roomzzz is absolutely perfect for your staycation in 2012… stay in our city centre hotel in Manchester and Leeds central accommodation and with our extra special offer you can’t possible lose!

This is the Millennium Bridge… which opened to the public in 200. The bridge is designed to rotate in order to allow large boats to pass – it is a truely spectacular sight to see when it does this as it moves 40 degrees and takes just four and a half minutes to do so – earning itself the name ‘Blinking Eye Bridge’.

Manchester gets FIVE stars!

Posted on: No Comments

We’ve had a number of FIVE star reviews of our Manchester city centre hotel recently… We love them all! SusanOuk was one of our faves…

“Perfect”
5 of 5 starsReviewed 29 January 2012
A must stay if you are visiting Manchester. I stayed in a superior double room (I think they call it a Grande studio) and loved it! You have a fully equipped kitchenette, a huge king sized bed, a mini seating area with a couch, a bathroom with a long deep bath (for all of you 6ft and over like we both are you can actually stretch out in it!!) and a shower with a huge shower head that gives the rain fall effect, ipod docking station, and free internet with the mac provided. We took our own food and drink but if you forget they have a mini pantry down stairs and breakfast is also included in the price (make sure you are down stairs before 10.30). Oh and the staff are lovely too. I guess the only bad thing is the parking (I paid £19.40) and I have just read a review that says the staff give you a discount but I didn’t know to ask for this :( . Apart from that fab, gorge hotel, the Ibis next door is £30 cheaper but no breakfast and no luxury, the choice is yours :)

It’s finally Friday!
