“Enjoyable, comfortable stay!”

Posted on: No Comments

Don’t forget that if you want an “Enjoyable, comfortable stay!” – you should book into our city centre hotel in Manchester!

5 of 5 starsReviewed 3 November 2012

Me & my boyfriend stayed here recently for a weekend break.

I was highly impressed with the room, we were allocated a duplex suit on the top floor. As we had requested, we had a bath in the bathroom, complete with TV! (I loved this!) Also there was a huge sized modern shower. The duplex itself was clean, modern and had all the amenities you would expect with an added few extras. I felt the Apple Mac computer in the room was a nice touch.

The bed was a superking memory foam and was sooo comfortable! We slept very well despite being in the middle of Manchester. You can’t avoid the traffic noise, however we felt we didn’t hear much. Also, we heard very little from other rooms (considering there was a hen party in the penthouse suite this was very good!!) as sometimes you can hear every little thing but we really had a peaceful nights sleep.

The location is perfect, just on the edge of China Town and within walking distance to everywhere we needed/wanted to be. We walked to the MEN arena, in and around the town centre and around Spinningfields. We found ourselves no more than 10-15 minute walk away from the apartment at all times.

We found staff friendly and helpful. Unfortunately the fire alarm went off at 2am on our last night however, we were assured we didn’t have to evacuate and it was just a power cut. The staff couldn’t have been more apologetic.

The breakfast ‘Grab and Go’ was really tasty, fresh pastries, fruit and fruit juices to take up to the apartment. There was also a ‘Pantry’ area where you could buy snacks, pizzas and pastas to cook yourself.

Overall, a really pleasant stay! We would definately reccomend staying here if you’re visiting Manchester and if you want to stay central.

“Why had we missed this "gem"?”

“Why had we missed this “gem”?” – Another fantastic review for our city centre hotel in Manchester…

We stay in Manchester regularly and usually stay in either The Best Western or Macdonalds Townhouse (down the road from here) but after reading reviews on here we opted for Roomzzz this time.
The guy (forget to take his name) on reception was attentive and very very polite and helpful. We had booked 2 rooms. One for my partner and I and one for my daughter and her friend. Both rooms were clean, well presented, modern and spacious. We had paid £218 for our room for the 2 nights as apposed to £118 for the 2 nights for our daughters room and the extra money paid was well worth it. It was a much bigger room with a bath AND a shower. TV in the bathroom. Much bigger bed. White leather sofa. However, if we had stayed in my daughters room, that wouldn’t have been a disappointment as this was real value for money but on a smaller scale.
We had both rooms on the second floor and I can honestly say that there was hardly any street noise from the main road below.
Breakfast is a lovely touch with coffee/tea/hot choc etc Fresh juice, pastries, fruit. All available to take back to your room in a little bag! Brilliant!!
We won’t be staying anywhere else now but next time we are going to go for one of the Maxima Suites that have the split level living area. Excellent value for money for luxury surroundings.

“My only choice for Manchester”

We get a lot of lovely reviews but this one really made us smile… gave us a warm rosy glow… there’s nothing nicer than when your efforts are recognised and appreciated! Shue-Me from Singapore wrote this about our city centre hotel in Manchester
“My only choice for Manchester”

Our first visit to Manchester and we booked Roomz based on tripadvisors’ reviews. One of the best decisions we made for this trip. The location was wonderful and the room/apartment was modern, well equipped and superbly comfortable. We stayed for 3 nights in a very nice room on the fourth floor and upon chatting with the wonderful Joanna at reception, we asked that upon our return in about 8 days time (we were taking a car and doing some travelling to lake District, etc) whether she could allocate us a bigger apartment in terms of floor space as we would be doing our packing for our departure. She took time to understand our needs and promised to do whatever she could.

When we returned for our second leg stay 8 days later and although she was on leave, she had left word that we be allocated another room (also on the fourth floor as we requested) and this turned out to be exactly what we wanted. All the rooms in the hotel are of different sizes and configurations but based on both of the rooms we had, they are of excellent standard. We had absolutely no problems with noise. The staff (including Joanna) were all friendly and helpful. The grab and go breakfast was good – pastries were of excellent standard and the coffee machine was good enough (not starbucks quality but hey .. its complimentary throughout the day) and there was a huge selection of different teas.

This on top of being what I considered a very reasonable rate – I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel to anybody and certainly, this will be my only choice when I visit Manchester next.

“Excellent base for business”

Our city centre hotel in Manchester gets 5 stars again…..

“Excellent base for business”

I have stayed here for a total of 20 nights since January for business, having finally given up on the Radisson. The location is very good, and the rooms (particularly the Maxima suites) are clean, comfortable and spacious. There is ample space to work (unlike many hotel rooms) and the addition of a Mac is a plus. The staff are friendly and helpful.

The maxima suites are superb – and for the price – cannot be bettered; an added bonus when on business is having a private space to sit and chat to colleagues.

There are lots of restaurants nearby to pick up a take-away (try Red Chilli at 70 Portland Street if you are adventurous) and there are also branches of Sainsbury’s and Tesco Express nearby.

There is a discount of 30% on the car park at Q-Park (entrance on St James Street; exit by foot to Faulkner street at side of Roomzzz) which is very convenient.

“Very Relaxing”

5 of 5 starsReviewed 6 January 2012
We arrived for a stay of one night only, and after all the busyness of Christmas we wanted simply to relax and go shopping. In the end we stayed in the room drank loads of champagne and didn’t go anywhere, and that was all down to the quality of the room, the decor, the flexibility of having a well equipped kitchen and the general ambience the surroundings created We have stayed here around 6 times and on every occasion we have been more than satisfied, the receptionist was very helpful, as the staff at Roomzzz always are. We will be going back again soon.

Dianne H from Nottingham stayed in Leeds City:-

booked a studio , got the top floor with a balcony, room was clean bright and very modern. the room had i-pod dock, tv and computer, bathroom had a fab shower and the large mirror in there was heated so it didn’t steam up, kitchen has everything you would need. Did not have the grab and go breakfast but did use the free coffee machine in the reception a lot, this place is a short taxi ride from the coach station and cost us only 4 pounds, the train station is even closer, all the bars, clubs and restaurants are 2 minutes round the corner. This is a fab place at fab prices, would recommend to anyone, just booked Roomzzz at Manchester for october, give this place a try , you will love it …
Sarah from Leeds booked family in for a visit:-

I booked this hotel for my father who came up from the midlands. We were both extremely impressed with his apartment and we both agreed that Roomzzz is a good find and offered more flexibility than hotels which he has stayed in previously.
The staff were friendly and there is a nice relaxed atmosphere, I am sure we will be back in the future.

What’s to do in Manchester in October?

Lots! That’s what… been having a bit of a look and now can’t decide what we want to do first… there really is a lot to choose from…

14th – 16th = The Manchester Weekender

18th – 31st = The Comedy Festival
22nd – 30th = The Science Festival

It seems that we may have our work cut out to see everything we want to throughout the month… so what we need is a luxury pad… a home from home… somewhere we can put our feet up and relax after a day out soaking up the culture of Manchester… Handy then that here at Roomzzz that’s right up our street… it’s what we do! So if you feel the same… why not check out the events above and then give us a call on 0844 499 4888 or book online to make sure that you get the luxury you deserve!
