“Perfect in Every Way!”

Reviewed 14 November 2011 NEW

Just back from my first stay at Roomzzz Aparthotel, Manchester. It was fantastic!!

Car parking was very close by in the recommended car park and was discounted by the hotel. so was only £12 for an overnight.

On arrival we were met by a lovely receptionist, who was extremely helpful, telling us the best places to eat etc and she printed us out a map.

The room was brilliant!! I couldn’t believe the amount of facilities in the room. The bed was lovely and clean and comfortable. The kitchen area amazing, I couldn’t believe there was even a dishwasher in the room!! There was just nothing more you could want. The shower was great, with lovely unusual fittings in the bathroom. The TV and free computer were great too.

There was a grab and go breakfast, which was great…..pastries, fruit, tea and all kinds of coffee. Took some back to the room and had it there.

On checking out the receptionist asked us if we wanted to take any of the breakfast things with us, which was lovely (we didn’t take any!!)

All in all an absolutely perfect stay and would not hesitate in returning and would recommend to anyone!! Thank you so much Roomzzz!! x

Ho ho ho… nearly time for the Christmas Markets!

Posted on: No Comments

As we are now into November I feel that we can legitimately mention Christmas… and one of our favourite parts of Christmas is a trip to the Christmas Markets…. and we are particularly lucky here in Manchesteras we have a particularly fine and famous one!
From the 17 November – 21 December 2011 it’s time to don your Santa hat, dust off the mulled wine glass, and get into the festive spirit – it’s time to head down to Manchester’s world famous Christmas Markets.

Attracting shoppers from all over the UK and beyond, the market has put Manchester city centre firmly on the Christmas map – the Christmas Market has become not just a fabulous place to shop but also a hugely popular leisure destination in its own right. No Mancunian winter is complete without a wander through the chalet-lined streets of the markets.

This year the market will be celebrating its 13th year and will take over eight different spaces around the city, each with it’s own distinct character and atmosphere.

The array of over 200 stalls is mind-boggling, with mouthwatering delicacies from all over Europe. The choice is getting bigger and bigger and includes gifts, crafts, jewellery, clothes, toys and an array of food and drink. Treat yourself to anything from Dutch mini pancakes, to Hungarian goulash to Spanish paella to French profiteroles. Relax with a hot chocolate, German or Spanish beer, or French wine. Soak up the atmosphere of a truly international event with a uniquely Mancunian flavour.

And after a hard day of shopping and sampling the goods you can make your way back to Roomzzz to relax and unwind! What could be better?

We’ve had some fantastic reviews again this week… for Manchester this time, read them all below:-
Touristman from London stayed with us this month and what a great comment:-
“This is my place in Manchester”
Reviewed 11 October 2011
Stayed in the hotel three times, and believe me this is the best hotel in Manchester. In fact they are the reason I signed with tripadvisor. The staffs are absolutely friendly and helpful. The location is spot on in the heart of the city centre, a walking distance to Piccadilly train station and the city centre. It is the only hotel that you get value for money, spacious stylish rooms, free WI-FI, Apple PC, large flat TV, kitchenette and complimentary breakfast, what do you need more???!!
A big thank you for the hotel staff and their manager

 ”Gorgeous Aparthotel”
5 of 5 starsI stayed here with my husband in Mid October 2011 when we came to Manchester to watch Peter Kay at the M.E.N. Roomzzz aparthotel is in a fantastic location next to Chinatown and has great travel links to the arena with St Peter’s Square Metrolink stop only a couple of minutes walk away.We stayed in the Maxima suite on the 5th floor and the room was gorgeous. It was very spacious and spotlessly clean. The huge bed was so comfortable and the bath was amazing,i filled it with bubbles and enjoyed pampering myself whilst getting ready to go out.
The staff could not have been more helpful if they tried, everyone we came into contact with was friendly and the service that we recieved was outstanding. We will certainly be returning in the future and are already planning our next visit.

There were only two minor things that i would mention, the spiral staircase in the room was VERY noisy, it creaked, squeaked and groaned as soon as you set foot on it so disturbed anyone who was still in bed if you wanted to go downstairs first in the morning or get up in the middle of the night for a glass of water. From a female point of view i really missed having a dressing table. The hairdryer in the bathroom was great but trying to put make up on in the small area around the sink wasn’t very comfortable or practical. In the end we moved the dining table up to to the full length mirror next to the staircase. All a bit of a faff really and something that could be easily rectified with the inclusion of a useable mirror close to the desk used for the iMac,that way the desk could double as a dressing table. This would solve what i found to be the biggest problem with the room.

From the 7th – 17th October, The Manchester Food and Drink Festival is a nationally acclaimed event that has developed to its current level over 14 years. Conceived and developed in 1998, the event originated as a means of showing the rest of the nation that there was more to Manchester dining than the stereotypes that existed at the time.
In the 13 annual Festivals that have taken place over that time, the Festival has achieved a national status. It is an urban food and drink festival, there is no single location, rather the Festival takes over as much of the City Centre and surrounding districts of Greater Manchester as possible, with a huge programme of events taking place, both indoor and outdoor.
The Festival highlights a number of ‘Festival themes’, issues which affect the food and drink industry in the region.
Like Manchester itself, the Festival is both Original and Modern. Events and participation have ranged from a children’s food workshop at a community library in Salford, to a glittering Gala Dinner at Manchester’s Town Hall.
Over the years the Festival has drawn names as diverse as Jamie Oliver, Gordon Ramsay and Bill Wyman, this year sees Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall headlining!
Check out the website for more details http://foodanddrinkfestival.com/
If you’re heading to the festival… why not check in at Roomzzz? You could spend your day eating and drinking, exploring fabulous food and wine , then returning to Roomzzz  for relaxation in our luxurious surroundings – a weekend of delightful treats for body, mind and soul!

Winter Warmers

Posted on: No Comments

There’s an autumnal atmosphere in the air, suggesting British Summer Time is about to end. Come 2am on Sunday October 31st the clocks go back, and winter kicks in.

Bar crawlers can celebrate, as can club revellers, with 60 free drinking and dancing minutes. Plus, everyone gets an hour longer in bed this weekend- so no-one’s complaining about that.

But it’s dark outside, and only getting worse by the week. So step into your Roomzzz apartment, notice the opulent decor, and then start thinking technology. Now realise you’ve found the perfect home away from home in which to stave off the cold night air, get cosy with friends, family and loved ones, and share and experience to remember.

Our Apple Macs are perfect for streaming media, so if you’ve got a digital Love Film account our aparthotel is the place for you. While TV fans can put their feet up, and bask in the glorious HD images made possible with large, flat screen LCDs.

Don’t fancy wrapping up and braving the streets lined with frost-covered cars to forage for food? Whether it’s chilli con carne or mulled wine, our kitchens provide the perfect place to prepare your winter warmers. Without leaving the sanctity of Roomzzz, you’ll be tucked up safe and warm, enjoying a luxurious stay in a fantastic city. Talk about an early Christmas present…
