Our city centre accommodation in Leeds has been having rave reviews! Who are we to argue?

“brilliant for everything”

Have stayed here before returned because it was so good. Stayed one night on 11th Sept – from checking in to leaving the staff were exceptional in their positive and helpful attitude. Safe environment especially when you’re on your own as a woman. Room (with balcony though not all have them) was immaculate and spacious. TV and free wifi great. Location excellent for shopping and restaurants. In good location for free delivery from takeaways which I did – soul food from Teds kitchen, Grab and go breakfast – croissants orange juice fruit coffees etc Would recommend this hotel easily.
Room Tip: ask for a room with a balcony – no extra cost usually

This place does most things right. Easy check in, free coffee, clean and contemporary rooms, comfortable beds and grab and go pastries etc for breakfast – decent. Definitely recommend this place. Hope this helps
“An excellent last minute find”

A really great place to stay. The staff (especially the romanian lady) were very professional and helpful. The room was more than adequate for what we needed. The location is ideal for exploring Leeds. The grab and go breakfast which was included was certainly welcome. I will definitely stay here again.

We all love a good bank holiday!

Posted on: No Comments

We also love the internet – being curious about bank holidays and looking forward to the weekend, we did a search… wikipedia told us all about it!

“A bank holiday is a public holiday in the United Kingdom or a colloquialism for public holiday in Ireland. There is no automatic right to time off on these days, although banks close and the majority of the population is granted time off work or extra pay for working on these days, depending on their contract. The first official bank holidays were the four days named in the Bank Holidays Act 1871, but today the term is colloquially (albeit incorrectly) used for public holidays which are not officially bank holidays, for example Good Friday and Christmas Day. Many large shops open on bank holidays, when most people have a day off for shopping, heavily advertising sales and bargains.”

Above all Bank Holidays MUST be fun, in this country we are so over the weather – we expect rain when we’re not at work and we don’t let it spoil the weekend… Here at Roomzzz this goes double… we love a bit of bad weather… it means we can hunker down in our cosy rooms… any excuse not to leave! And why would we want to… perfect city centre hotel in Manchester, luxurious accommodation in the centre of Leeds and shortly a fabulous hotel in Newcastle… we’d be mad to tackle the weather!

“Absolute bargain”
5 of 5 starsReviewed 13 July 2012
I was looking for somewhere cheap to stay in Leeds and I was so glad I booked this over the more expensive Premier Inn. The staff on the front desk were really attentive, there is a pantry in the reception which sold artisan microwave meals (I had assumed they’d be selling junk food but the foodstuffs looked really nice) and there was a free breakfast there every morning (sorry Roomzzz, I was the one who stole all the fruit on my way out). I had a grande studio which was huge, and it made such a difference having an apartment rather than just a room. It’s very well equipped, my only tiny quibble was the shower cubicle is quite compact and ended up being a bit like a sauna during my shower. It is on the main road so you do have traffic sounds but it has good double glazing, and although you can hear the neighbours it’s not terribly loud, and no more than any other hotel. It saved a lot of money having a kitchen so I could have food in my apartment rather than eat out every night. The aparthotel is slightly out of the town centre, you can walk there (it’s about ten minutes to the town hall, twenty to the station) or catch any bus which takes you either to the town hall and art gallery or right into the town centre.
