I was looking for somewhere cheap to stay in Leeds and I was so glad I booked this over the more expensive Premier Inn. The staff on the front desk were really attentive, there is a pantry in the reception which sold artisan microwave meals (I had assumed they’d be selling junk food but the foodstuffs looked really nice) and there was a free breakfast there every morning (sorry Roomzzz, I was the one who stole all the fruit on my way out). I had a grande studio which was huge, and it made such a difference having an apartment rather than just a room. It’s very well equipped, my only tiny quibble was the shower cubicle is quite compact and ended up being a bit like a sauna during my shower. It is on the main road so you do have traffic sounds but it has good double glazing, and although you can hear the neighbours it’s not terribly loud, and no more than any other hotel. It saved a lot of money having a kitchen so I could have food in my apartment rather than eat out every night. The aparthotel is slightly out of the town centre, you can walk there (it’s about ten minutes to the town hall, twenty to the station) or catch any bus which takes you either to the town hall and art gallery or right into the town centre.
Manchester now has another museum – The National Football Museum as recently opened in Urbis.
The museum has an amazing collection of football memorabilia and archives – as a football fan it’s unmissable…
It’s even free to enter… so you can spend your money on the Football Plus experience to test your speed, reactions and accuracy, you can even commentate!
A great day out for all the family – why not bring them to stay in our city centre hotel in Manchester? You can then test their footie skills at the museum…

Recently stayed at Roomzzz and was so impressed by staff, rooms and location. I stayed in both smart and grand studio rooms and enjoyed both! Lots of space, comfortable beds, super modern furniture/appliances and really clean. Booked originally based on good reviews from the Internet and they didn’t lie! Even in the middle of the city felt really comfortable!
“Stunning rooms, great value”

We stayed here on a recent trip to Manchester to see Bruce Springsteen at the Etihad stadium. I was not disappointed. It is in a great central location, easy to find from Picadilly train station and easy to get about Manchester. Our room was gorgeous, very large and well designed (grande studio). The bed was extremely comfortable and we loved the kitchen area. I thought it might be noisy, especially as there was some building work going on on the street outside our room. We didn’t hear a thing. I felt that it was extremely good value – we paid under £100 a night for a lovely studio apartment, and the grab and go breakfast – the nearby Premier Inn was £120 a night!
