Skarch from Bangalor stayed with us at Leeds City...
Reviewed 1 November 2011
My wife and I stayed here for 10 days in October 2011. The location, the room (smart studio) and the staff are all excellent.
One could not ask for a better location in Leeds city centre. It is close to the train station, bus stops, the best shopping and top rated restaurants and pubs.
The smart studio has a king size bed, excellent bathroom, a small sitting area with a view of the city, a very well equipped kitchenette, washing machine & dryer and a Mac Mini which doubles as a TV. The TV swivels 180 degrees to face the bed or the sitting area.
The staff are very friendly and helpful without exception. The housekeeping crew made up our room, bath and kitchenette spic and span everyday!
The property is built on a small lot and therefore the corridors are narrow for large luggage. The fire doors make your task of moving in and out a bit difficult along the narrow halls. The room doors close with a rather loud bang: so a neighbour returning late can wake you up. The wood flooring in our room (301) creaked a lot, probably due to faulty laying. These were minor irritations in an otherwise perfect stay.
Overall, we had an excellent stay and would not hesitate to go back next time.
It’s nearly time for our one day 50% blue cross sale… all our lovely Royalty Club

This treasure hunt is now taking place over the whole month of November – this is week two – the answers are all to be found in our blog and then on the last Friday of the month – 25th November – we will announce the winner!
Because this is a longer hunt – the winner will receive a BIGGER prize in the form of a whole weekend’s stay in one of our fabulous Roomzzz
Last week we asked you: In Monday’s Blog – which birthday was Stockportracca’s wife celebrating?
This week we want to know: How many years has the Christmas Market been in Manchester?
Don’t forget the winner will be announced on the 25th November! Good luck Treasure Hunters…
As we are now into November I feel that we can legitimately mention Christmas… and one of our favourite parts of Christmas is a trip to the Christmas Markets…. and we are particularly lucky here in Manchesteras we have a particularly fine and famous one!
From the 17 November – 21 December 2011 it’s time to don your Santa hat, dust off the mulled wine glass, and get into the festive spirit – it’s time to head down to Manchester’s world famous Christmas Markets.
Attracting shoppers from all over the UK and beyond, the market has put Manchester city centre firmly on the Christmas map – the Christmas Market has become not just a fabulous place to shop but also a hugely popular leisure destination in its own right. No Mancunian winter is complete without a wander through the chalet-lined streets of the markets.
This year the market will be celebrating its 13th year and will take over eight different spaces around the city, each with it’s own distinct character and atmosphere.
The array of over 200 stalls is mind-boggling, with mouthwatering delicacies from all over Europe. The choice is getting bigger and bigger and includes gifts, crafts, jewellery, clothes, toys and an array of food and drink. Treat yourself to anything from Dutch mini pancakes, to Hungarian goulash to Spanish paella to French profiteroles. Relax with a hot chocolate, German or Spanish beer, or French wine. Soak up the atmosphere of a truly international event with a uniquely Mancunian flavour.
And after a hard day of shopping and sampling the goods you can make your way back to Roomzzz to relax and unwind! What could be better?
