Dragon Boat Race 2010 Hotel Leeds

The Leeds Community Foundation is holding the biggest city centre waterside event for the third year running on Saturday 26th June at Clarence Dock.
The colourful ‘Dragon Boat Race’ will have 40 teams competing against each other and the fastest teams battling it out in the Grande Finale. All teams have to dress up and they are getting wilder and whackier each year! It’s a family day out so there will be BBQs and child’s entertainment for friends, family and spectators – all this for free!
Come and join in the fun: paddles, splashing, drums beating and crowds of people cheering as the dragon boats race to the line. This is without doubt one of the must see events this summer in Leeds.
Not just for fun and games, the Boat Race is also hoping to raise £40,000 for the Leeds Community Foundation.

Porsche Rally Harewood House Hotel

Opera in the Park Hotel

The annual Leeds free music festival, “Opera in the Park” is set to return this year with a bigger and better line up. The evening of the 24th of July see the biggest free outdoor Opera festival in the UK invite artists such as Alfie Boe, Natasha Marsh and the Halle Symphony Orchestra to name a few. 50,000 fans are expected to reign on Newsam Park, Leeds on the July weekend.

Opera in the Park will once again be supported by media partners Magic 828 and the Yorkshire Post. Party in the Park, the brother event of Opera will also be held the day after at Temple Newsam on Sunday 25 July when the latest chart toppers will take to the stage in front of 70,000 people.

Tickets for both Opera and Party in the Park will be available at a special Ticket Launch event on Millenium Square in Leeds City Centre on Saturday 5th June.
Tickets will be available to collect in person between 10am-2pm with a maximum of four tickets allocated per person.

The launch event will feature a special live broadcast by 96.3 Radio Aire.
